Hey, I’m Anna Sophie, a fashion designer, bespoke tailor, cutter, draper and patternmaker. I’m part of the design team of Taste of Malawi and advise the school in professional questions. I was immediately appealed by Taste of Malawi for three reasons: it is a project that addresses my craft, I spent a year in Malawi as a volunteer between 2009 and 2010 and I love the idea of women being supported in setting up their own business. It is a huge difference whether you have to learn something on your own or if you are trained by someone.
